Support, Reflection and Change
At Embrace, we provide compassionate and professional support services for children, young people, and families. Our team of expert associates are dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome difficulties with emotional dysregulation, challenging behaviour, adolescent relationships, transitions, anxiety, and low mood. We offer individual and group interventions, delivered remotely and in-person, alongside consultancy, education advisory services and staff training. All clinical interventions are delivered by a qualified and experienced PG Certified Psychotherapist. Our approach is tailored to the unique needs of each individual or situation and we strive to create a safe and supportive environment for our clients.
Welcome to Embrace
Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, at Embrace we have a passion and enthusiasm for understanding children and young peoples' social and emotional needs and what they are trying to communicate with their behaviour. Our founder has 16 years' experience of working with children and families, teaching in primary and higher education settings, as well as delivering evidence-based clinical interventions. We firmly believe in supporting family relationships and providing a holistic approach to children and young peoples' wellbeing, learning and development.

Behavioural Interventions
Individual and group interventions for parents
A tailored intervention designed to help parents and caregivers to positively manage defiant, challenging, developmental, neurodivergent, and emotional behaviours. Our comprehensive support includes, psychoeducation, understanding the common “parent traps”, implementing tailored routines and positive behaviour management strategies, to promote your child’s growth, learning, independence, and self-regulation. Our aim is to help enable parents/carers to communicate more effectively with their children and support positive family relationships. The evidence base for this intervention is derived from social learning, behaviour principles and attachment theories, as recent research in parenting.
Drawing and Talking Therapy
Individual and group interventions for children and adults
Drawing and Talking Therapy is a twelve-week attachment-based therapeutic intervention, which allows individuals to discover and communicate their emotional difficulties or experiences through a non-directed technique. For children, adults, parents/carers and grandparents, this intervention will help you to heal and find your own resolutions to traumatic experiences/events, anxiety and underlying emotional difficulties.
Anxiety and Worry
Individual and group interventions for children, young people and parents
Evidence based interventions designed to help parents and carers to understand and address worry and anxiety which may be impacting their child’s everyday life. This encompasses issues, such as social and school avoidance, safety behaviours, sleeping and eating difficulties, as well as friendship challenges. Our interventions offer psychoeducation, practical strategies, and techniques, alongside tailored home activities to effectively manage and reduce the impact to your child’s wellbeing and family life.
Working with your Teens
Individual and group interventions for parents
Empowering parents and caregivers to navigate family relationships during the teenage years. Our intervention will provide valuable insights in neuroscience, teenage development, and consider how to support adolescent relationships in modern day society. We focus on supporting parents to manage challenging behaviours, strengthen understanding, and implement tailored routines and strategies to promote the growth, learning, independence, and self-confidence of your teens. Our approach enables parent and carers to communicate more effectively with their children and foster positive family relationships.
Professional Advisory Services
We provide specialist advisory and training services for education settings and organisations that work with children, young people and families. Tailoring our services to meet your needs, we can observe children and young people within their setting and provide comprehensive strategies to effectively support their learning and wellbeing. Our training services help your team to develop their CPD and foster their understanding of positive behaviour management strategies, supporting mental health and wellbeing.
